Health & Safety Policy

The Directors insist every individual within the company takes Safety, Health & Environmental issues extremely seriously and they ensure that our suppliers do the same. That is why we are one of the few companies within our industry to employ directly a full time Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, as well as retaining an external consultant for assistance as necessary.

Every single project we accept, no matter the value, will be audited for any SHE issues that may be present and then assessed to determine how we complete the project to eliminate any SHE issues that may be present. This information is passed through the companies operatives by Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Tool Box Talks, Site Inductions and training as necessary.

Our aim is to create an environment completely free of work related accidents and as such we subscribe to the East Kent Construction Safety Group. The group carry out regular safety audits and ensure we are maintaining and constantly improving our quality standards, safe working practices and usage of personal protective equipment.

We focus our health and safety policy around several key statutory duties;

• Identifying hazards, assessing their risks and implementing preventative and protective measures
• Providing and maintaining safe plant and work equipment
• Establishing and enforcing safe methods of work
• Recruiting and appointing skilled, competent and qualified personnel
• Ensuring that any tasks given to employees are within their skills and ability to perform
• Ensuring that technical competence is maintained through ongoing training
• Promoting awareness of health and safety and good practice
